Paid daily? Your mobile money already shows you're reliable

No payslip, no bank loan, no problem. How traders, boda riders and vendors qualify for nxtPay credit.

Most people in Uganda don’t earn a monthly salary. Market vendors, boda boda riders, salon owners and shopkeepers earn a little every day. Banks often can’t see that income. Your mobile money statement can.

What we look at

  • How long you’ve used your mobile money line. At least 2 months of history.
  • How much money came in over the last 3 months. About UGX 1,000,000 or more in total.
  • How many different people and businesses you deal with.
  • How steady your income is from month to month.

Small amounts that come in often count. A vendor who receives many small payments every week can qualify just like someone with one salary payment.

How to share your statement

Download your statement for the last 3 months from the MyMTN or My Airtel app, or ask at a service centre. Then upload the PDF on your ID page in nxtPay. Before anything is shared, you tick a box to agree, and you can withdraw that agreement at any time.

Tip: We share the totals with your credit partner, not the statement itself, and only after you agree.

If it’s not enough yet

If your statement shows less than 2 months, or less money coming in than needed, you’ll see why and when to try again. Nothing is held against you.
